Curved Sofa Living Room: 10 Styling Ideas You Should Try
Place it facing the TV
If you don’t want to overcomplicate things, just place your curved sofa facing the TV. You can add a round coffee table in front and a soft rug underneath. This simple setup is perfect for both small and medium-sized living rooms.
Use it to break up open spaces.
If yours is an open-concept house, you may find it overwhelming to separate your living, dining, and kitchen areas. And that’s where a curved sofa comes in. Place it facing the area you want to highlight, and it creates a natural division between zones.
Set it up in the corner.
Usually, the corners are ignored. Either they are unused or get filled with some random furniture. But if you place a curved sofa into a corner, you've got yourself a cosy little spot for reading or just relaxing. Add a tall lamp or a side table next to it. Trust us!
Add statement chairs next to it.
Go for a sectional if you need more seating
If your living room is where everyone gathers, whether to watch a movie or play games, a curved sectional gives you more seating without eating up much space. This curved sofa living room setup is thoughtful and comfortable.
Try a modular curved sofa.
When it comes to modular furniture ideas, curved pieces work the best. If you like to change up your setup once in a while, opt for a modular curved sofa, which you can either split into two smaller units or use as one. It’s perfect for apartments or rented homes.

Match it with a round rug.
Straight sofas usually go with rectangular rugs. But when it comes to curved sofas, a round rug looks much better. It defines the sitting area, especially if your curved sofa living room doesn’t have clear sections. It also brings balance if your room feels too boxy.
Push it against a wall (if your room’s narrow).
If you cannot fit the sofa in the middle because your room is narrow, don’t worry. Just push it against a wall and add a few wall shelves or picture frames above it to bring in some height. It will make the space look more posh.
Go for two curved loveseats.
If your living room is small, instead of going for a large main sofa, use two curved loveseats facing each other. Next, place a small ottoman or round table in between. This setup gives a lounge vibe, and the room still feels open.
Mix up your textures.
If your curved sofa is velvet, pair it with a woven jute rug or a rustic wooden coffee table. If it’s a neutral linen, try adding a leather chair nearby or a chunky knit throw.
- Use plush cushions in suede, cotton, or corduroy.
- Add a textured rug under the sofa, like wool, shag, or natural fibre
- Include one sleek element like a metal lamp or marble-top table
- Balance curves with something structured like a square frame or boxy side unit
