Key Responsibilities:
- Design, document, and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for window and door systems
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers and project consultants
- Create precise technical drawings and designs using CAD software (AutoCAD-2D, SolidWorks/Inventor)
- Work closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to assess theoretical fitment, value engineering and customize designs for hardware and accessories
- Conduct product testing, prepare documentation and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards
- Focus on material optimization and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Coordinate design timelines with production and installation teams to ensure project milestones are met
- Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and BOM for fabrication and installation processes
- Prepare and maintain production documents (Excel-based) for new series and custom designs
- Collaborate with fabrication, procurement, and site teams to ensure design feasibilityand smooth implementation
- Uphold company policies and procedures while continuously improving and refining design processes
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Master’s degree in Product Design and Development.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing window and door systems
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD-2D, SolidWorks/Inventor)
- Knowledge of fenestration industry standards and structural design principles
- Knowledge of structural design analysis and related parameters like moment of inertia, section modulus, bending stress equation etc.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
